How VALORANT's Map Rating System Works: S-Tier Grades & Performance Score

A complete competitive breakdown of the new 0 to 500 Map Rating scale, letter grades (C to S), and Performance Score 2.0 calibration.

Introduced in Patch 13.08 for Act 6, the Map Rating System gives players transparent feedback on their map proficiency across Competitive and Premier queues.

1. The 0 to 500 Rating Scale Every player begins each competitive act with a baseline rating. The system continuously calculates your rating per map based on four core pillars: * **Overall Match Win Rate (40% weight):** Consistently converting rounds into match wins is the heaviest contributing factor. * **Attacker Win Rate (20% weight):** Measures how effectively your team converts offensive rounds on typically defender-sided maps. * **Defender Win Rate (20% weight):** Evaluates site anchoring and retake execution frequency. * **Performance Score 2.0 (20% weight):** Evaluates round-by-round combat impact, including damage dealt, trade efficiency, and first-contact engagements.

2. Letter Grades (C to S-Tier) * **S-Tier (420–500 pts):** Exceptional win rate (>65%) and high combat impact. Indicates a comfort-pick map. * **A-Tier (340–419 pts):** Solid positive win rate (>53%) with consistent round utility contribution. * **B-Tier (260–339 pts):** Average 50% split. Good foundational play but occasional macro mistakes. * **C-Tier (Below 260 pts):** Negative win rate (<45%). Signals a need to review lineups, agent comfort, and default execute paths.

3. Performance Score 2.0 Adjustments Patch 13.08 recalibrated how support and auxiliary agents gain performance points. First Bloods and raw damage impact now carry higher weight than raw kill count, ensuring controllers who deal heavy chip damage or sentinels who stall plants earn appropriate performance rating recognition.
